Match Report
The B team kept the Saints flag flying in the Tipp Cup as they progressed to the Semi-Final with a well earned victory over local rivals Bansha Celtic. On 12mins Devon had a header cleared off the line from an Aidan Tobin corner. The turning point of the game came on 30mins when Bansha’s Deri Peters was sent off. Saints took full advantage on 33mins when John Dwyer beat Brian Glasheen from 30yards to make it 2-0. Bansha pulled one back before half time through a Michael Grace freekick.
Saints had what looked to be a certain penalty turned down on 53min when Gary was upended in the penalty box, Bansha came more into the game + were guilty of squandering chances through Michael Grace + Chester. Saints ended the tie on 82mins after some good work by Devon on the wing. His cross was volleyed to the roof of the net by Declan Hogan.

Match Report
The B team continued their poor run of form in the league losing 3-0 to Glen Villa at Cooke Park. Saints were unlucky not to take he lead on 2mins when Aidan Tobin’s corner was headed just wide by Jason Nugent. Glen Villa started to take control of the game and took the lead on 22mins with a well struck shot from 20yards which flew into the top corner.
The 2nd half continued as the 1st with Saints struggling to get a grip on the game. Saints did however have a good chance to equalise on 59mins when a good cross from Declan Hogan was met by John Dwyer but he hit wide from 6yards. Saints went 2-0 down on 74mins after a mix up at the back saw Matty Cremmins chip the ball past his own keeper. Saints bad luck continued when 2min later a Glen Villa freekick was headed past the Saints keeper by Aidan Tobin to make it 3-0.

Match Report
The B team were beaten 3-2 at the convent grounds in the 1st leg of the Shield semi-final, leaving a tough away leg at Killusty. While the Saints had a lot of the possession in the first half they still found themselves trailing by three goals to one. Killusty opened the scoring in the 7th minute and added their second direct from a corner in the 9th minute. Devon Greene pulled one back after a good cross from Declan Madden. Killusty made it 3-1 ten minutes before the break.
The second half had very few chances for both sides and it wasn’t until the 89th minute when Paul Dwyer converted a penalty to make it 3-2, keeping the tie alive.

Match Report
The Saints took a two goal lead into the game from the first leg, but it was Gooldscross who started the brightest, playing some very neat football. They took the lead after just ten minutes, but wasted many other chances before they added their second five minutes before half time. Saints were lucky to get to the break only two goals down.
Saints came out in the second half playing a lot better and after a good spell of pressure they pulled one back. A good cross by Johnny Martin was finished by Paul Dwyer. Three minutes later it was 2-2. A corner by Paul Dwyer was flicked on by Gary Hogan and finished with a sweet strike by Johnny Martin. Ten minutes before time GooldsCross got their 3rd goal and levelled the tie with the last move of the game, 4-2 on the day.
So it went to penalties with Mark Lowry proving to be the hero, saving two penalties. Saints converted their four penalties with John Dwyer, Ian Foley, Devon Greene and Michael Maguire.
The Saints march on!

Match Report
The B team had a poor start to the season losing at home to Newcastle 3-2. Newcastle dominated the first 15 mins before the saints started to take control. The break through came from a good cross from Johnny Martin out on the wing, controled on the penalty spot and slotted home by John Dwyer.
The second half started again with Newcastle having the better of the exchanges, scoring two soft goals as a result of slack defending.
Saints managed to equalise with a very well worked goal by Devon Greene. Johnny Martin put through a great ball over the defense for Devon to run onto and chip the advancing keeper.
The saints concided a third with the last move of the game from a free kick headed home from 8 yards out.
Overall a very disappointing result from the saints, who are capable of playing a lot better.
